At eVisory, we look at projects a little differently. For most consultants, the emphasis is to find a way a fit the technology into the business environment. The consultants want the project to move forward because it often generates more business for themselves.
This
self-serving approach is one reason why so many projects fail.
eVisory believes that projects should be implemented on their own
merits - especially hard dollar savings. We're proud of the fact that
nearly 15% of our projects end up with recommendations against
implementation (in favor of more cost effective approaches).
eVisory services fall into several categories:
Needs
Analysis
eVisory provides needs
analysis services based on our award-winning needs analysis
methodology developed in 1986 specifically for the ECM industry.
Our methodology emphasizes hard-dollar savings thanks to an
industrial engineering perspective.
Most customers start
with our High Level Assessment (HLA) process. The HLA process
is a fast analysis process that leverages eVisory experience with
other projects. We analyze operations to determine ROI, vendor
choices, implementation sequencing, and timing. Designed to
help determine next steps, the HLA process usually takes about a
month and costs begin at just $30K.
Our full needs analysis efforts incorporate process reengineering around the processes that can make use of ECM technology. These services vary depending on organization size and complexity. Contact Us to discuss your specific situation. We'll even build an enterprise reference architecture if that is what you need.
Once either an HLA or standard needs analysis has been performed customers can take advantage of our Procurement services.
Procurement
Project
success is almost always determined in the procurement process.
eVisory generates our industry-standard RFP
format using the information from the needs analysis and then works
with the ECM team and contracts group to manage the procurement
process.
When proposals arrive, eVisory works quickly to analyze the proposals and prepare TCO and life cycle costs. (Most consultants just calculate purchase price, but eVisory knows that TCO and life cycle costs are more important.) Using our proprietary Chant process, eVisory works with the evaluation team to quickly score proposals and move to contract award. Our process means that proposals can usually be scored in a single day.
Governance
eVisory
understands that our expertise can be helpful during the
implementation and roll-out. This is especially true for
complex, enterprise-wide implementations. We offer governance
services in four areas:
Foundation Services
Project & Program Management
Change Management
Acceptance Testing
Foundation Services are those common building blocks that will be used for multiple applications within an organization. They have critical interdependencies and become de facto standards (and future headaches) when implemented. Examples include: security, taxonomy, federated search policies, distributed architecture, user interface (branding), and formal industry standards. These services are usually priced on a time and materials basis.
Project and Program Management services can be provided that supplement your current structure and needs. We can offer PMI-certified project managers or just general support during intermediate reviews. eVisory also can work with your team to build the Program Management Office (PMO) if the application is particularly complex.
Change Management is part art and part science. eVisory has "tricks in the bag" to help minimize problems, accelerate user adoption, and improve overall ROI.
Acceptance Testing is one of our most popular governance services. eVisory typically uses the vendor's detailed design to develop a comprehensive User Acceptance Test (UAT) to confirm that the system provides all of the functionality required. As part of the UAT, eVisory also performs limited stress testing that can be used for capacity planning purposes.
Records
Management
eVisory's Certified
Records Managers (CRMs) and other records management professionals
perform records inventories, develop retention schedules, and even
prepare full File Plans.
Because eVisory has such a strong technical background, our RM efforts address more than just paper - we also teach organizations how to manage electronic documents, handle email archives, and new objects like video and VOIP files. Combined with our continuous research into various regulations (including SOX, HIPPA, FOIA, and local laws), eVisory helps organizations not only reduce costs, but use records management to improve compliance and reduce liability.
eVisory also offers a full records management audit. Organizations that pass this thorough third-party audit are awarded a certificate of compliance. Depending on your industry, the certificates are good for 3-7 years. The records managements are an ideal peace-of-mind for organizations with good practices or an excellent way to find deficiencies before problems occur.
Other
System
Audits
Like some of our other
methodologies, eVisory pioneered the ECM System
Audit. This technical review of existing installations compares
more than 20 aspects of the system to industry standards.
White Papers
Want
to get extra notice about how well you managed your implementation?
Talk to eVisory about a custom-written white paper to help get your
message out. In most cases, your vendor will even pay to help
you promote your story.
Merger and
Acquisition Due Diligence
Exclusively
for equity firms considering making investments or acquisitions
within the ECM space. eVisory helps analyze companies from a
sales, operations, technology, competition, and go-forward (or
go-to-market) perspective. Includes both software OEMs and
BPO/BPM outsourcing vendors.
